Laudholm Farm Reserve, a National Park

Located on Laudholm Farm Rd. (marked off of Route 1) in Wells. This 2200 acre nature area includes meadows, woods and 2 barrier beaches located at the mouth of the Little River. Seven miles of trails lead through fields and woods to the beaches.

Marginal Way

A 1.25 mile walk along the cliffs with dramatic views of the ocean. The path starts in the village on Shore Road after the Sparhawk Hotel and meanders the coastline to Perkins Cove. Called the Marginal Way because its on the “margin” of the ocean, this is one attraction that is a must.

Ogunquit Heritage Museum

The Ogunquit Heritage Museum is housed in the Captain James Winn House, which was built circa 1780. It is located at the Dorothea Grant Common, which is accessible from Shore Road to Obeds Lane. The museum is home to exhibits in three different categories of Ogunquit’s history: maritime history, the art colony, and the architecture of the historical Winn House

Ogunquit Memorial Library

While visiting Ogunquit Maine, a must see is the beautiful Ogunquit Memorial Library, on the National Register of Historic Places. Open everday in Summer except Sunday. Closed for lunch 12-2

Perkins Cove

A quaint New England cove with boats, shopping and great restaurants! Perkins Cove was the original artist colony where the post-impressionist artist painted. See the wooden draw bridge, and the house where Betty Davis once lived.

Rachel Carson National Wildlife Refuge

This public park offers the Carson Trail, a one-mile walk along an upland edge which offers vistas and close-up view of one of southern Maine’s most rare and valuable ecosystems: the salt marsh.

Surf Lessons Overview

We have instructors on staff to accommodate all ability levels from beginner to advanced surfers. We offer them with equipment (surfboard, leash, wetsuit) or without. Our lessons are 2 hours, with the majority of that time in the water catching waves. Students will be given safety instructions and learn some basics on the beach to understand what to expect once they hit the water. We strongly suggest beginners use our rental equipment to assure you’re on the proper size board, but if you have your own you can use it. For beginners and intermediate lessons we offer soft top and Bic surfboards. For advanced lessons we offer Lib Tech and Lost shortboards.

  • Lessons are 2 hours long
  • Offered daily at 9:30am, 12:30pm and 4:30pm
  • 9:30am and 12:30pm lesson students have the option to keep the equipment for the rest of that day for an additional $15
